Volunteer Spotlight: PALS Dogs
For our volunteer spotlight this month, we would like to highlight our volunteers from the Pet Access League Society (PALS). This includes our three PALS pups; Millie, Archie, and Daisy, as well as their handlers; Susan, Rob, and Barb.
Each week these amazing volunteers, both human and canine, take the time to visit with children, youth and families who are accessing Luna’s Child Space. This can make a huge difference to the families coming into our space by providing a calming and therapeutic presence.
Not only do the volunteers play an important role in the child space, but they also hold a special place in the hearts of Luna staff and partners. Each week staff and partners look forward to greeting the PALS pups and visiting with their handlers.
We would like to give a huge shoutout and thank you to the PALS folks for their ongoing support here at Luna! For anyone interested in learning more about PALS and what they do, check out their website here: PALS Pets - Pet Access League Society
