CTV Morning Live: Luna's Karen Orser Discusses Child Abuse In Our Communities

Recently, Karen Orser, CEO of Luna Child and Youth Advocacy Centre, appeared on CTV Morning Live to discuss a crucial topic of recognizing and responding to child abuse in our communities.

Child abuse is often hidden, but the signs are there — behavioral changes, unexplained injuries, sexual knowledge beyond their years, or sudden withdrawal. Karen emphasized that by learning to recognize these indicators and offering a safe, supportive space, Calgarians can play an active role in protecting vulnerable children.

She also highlighted the work Luna does in collaboration with law enforcement, child intervention, and mental health specialists to support children and families through every stage of healing.
