CACs Connect: Grooming

In Alberta, the rate of grooming has spiked in recent months; children and youth are spending more time online seeking social connection because the current circumstances have limited their time usually spent at school or with peers. For our third edition of CACs Connect, Kellie Cummings from Central Alberta CAC in Red Deer, CPL Michelle Mosher from Caribou CAC in Grande Prairie, and Dr. Sarah MacDonald from Calgary & Area CAC discuss the different stages of grooming, signs to look out for, how to respond to a disclosure, and the importance of creating an open conversation about grooming.
