CACs Connect: A Roundtable Discussion on Online Luring and Safety

In Alberta, child luring numbers have rapidly increased since the beginning of COVID-19, and continue to move in a negative direction.

In this CACs Connect Roundtable, we are joined by Constable Holly Porterfield from Central Alberta CAC, Shamille Sarcuaga from Little Bear CAC, and Constable Joe Ulrich from ICE division, Edmonton. Together, they discuss how to define child luring, the impact on our children, platforms it is happening on, signs to watch for, preventative measures and resources, and steps to take if this does occur.

The best defence is having an open and honest relationship and ongoing dialogue with your child
