On October 24, we wear blue to shine a light on child abuse, and to stand in solidarity with children, youth and families in our communities who are impacted by abuse.

Child Abuse Prevention Month in Alberta is dedicated to raising awareness about child abuse and showing support for children and youth who have experienced abuse. On October 24, people across the province, and all over the country, are encouraged to wear blue as a visible sign of solidarity and commitment to creating safe, supportive communities for kids. By going blue, Albertans help shine a light on the importance of protecting children and ensuring every young person can grow up feeling valued, safe, and supported.
